In the small village Sæbø by the Hjørundfjord is Sagafjord Hotel, as if it had been taken from the fairy tales. The surroundings are magnificent with dramatic and snow-capped peaks that extend over fifteen hundred meters straight up from the beautiful Hjørundfjord which is almost 33 kilometers long. The hotel's origins started with a local baker who thought Sæbø needed a café and a guesthouse. The old timber walls in parts of the building mass are over two hundred years old, and originate from an old schoolhouse and other old log houses from Valdres. Today the hotel has 40 rooms, a restaurant, meeting rooms and its own marina
